The Old Cannery

-

More than a furniture store, The Old Cannery is home to a wide range of children’s activities, animatronics, trains, and community events. Its founder and CEO Dave Radcliff has created a place that children love to visit. Whether it’s for a special event or a birthday celebration, children are sure to find something to enjoy at the Old Cannery.
Traditions of the old cannery

The Old Cannery is home to a variety of holiday traditions, including a Santa Photo Line and caroling. The event is free, and proceeds go to the local food bank. The staff has sat in the Santa’s chair for 17 years, and their goal is to create a magical holiday atmosphere for kids.

The Old Cannery staff works hard to create a holiday event to remember, and they do so with great care and attention to detail. Some employees even dress up like elves, so that they can interact with guests and create lasting memories. The project’s coordinator, Jackie Hills, is very passionate about this tradition, and she takes great pride in her work. She also loves meeting people and hearing their stories.

One of their most popular holiday events is the Sumner Bridge Lighting. The event starts at 2 pm at The Old Cannery and ends with a fireworks display. There are also snacks and caroling. The Old Cannery has a map that lists suggested parking, which can be helpful if you are unsure of where to park.
Shop’s eco-system

The eco-system at the Old Cannery can be viewed through a unique lens. The building was originally a fruit and vegetable cannery. The eco-system at the Old Cannery is a tribute to this history and reflects this in a number of ways. For one, the showroom is decorated with pieces of memorabilia from Grouts, including a mural of Sweetbriar. It also includes a skeletal kit plane that Tony once built and a mannequin of himself in the pilot seat.
TV appearances

If you are looking for an affordable and historic place to shop, look no further than The Old Cannery. This store and its surroundings have made many appearances on TV, including “Trading Spaces” and “The Big Bang Theory.” The building’s historic roots date back to its time as a fruit and vegetable cannery. While the store is not known for its famous fish, it offers a unique and interesting experience.
Its fudge bar

The Old Cannery’s fudge bar has more than 20 flavors and is a popular stop for locals. They also serve free coffee and host special events throughout the year, such as bridge lighting ceremonies. Visitors can also watch the fudge-making process and sample some of the products.

This historic bar is known for its handmade fudge, which is handcrafted by owner Tony Grout using a 103-year-old birch tree. The fudge bar is also famous for its hot dogs, which the owner says he serves 30,000 in warm weather.

During summertime, the Old Cannery turns into a carnival, where they give out 30,000 hot dogs for free. During the holidays, you can get a free picture with the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus. They also host events for the community, including holiday celebrations and neighborhood fundraisers.

The Old Cannery is a family-owned business. It is located on a ten-acre property and features some of the finest furniture in the country. Bono began working at the cannery as a mechanic in the early 2000s. Later, he went on to become an artist. In 2003, he and three other workers built a ceiling-mounted model train layout. In 2010, they expanded it. Today, the Old Cannery is a tourist attraction in Sumner, Oregon.
